Jason Robbins - CV Below

My name is Jason Robbins, I'm currently living and working in London as a freelance artist. I have skills and experience in 3D Animation(Maya, 3DSMax - character studio, XSI, motion capture handling), modelling & texturing(3DSMax), VFX(After Effects) and editing(Premiere). Recent freelance work includes being Lead Animator on a Rankin Films short, sole Editor and VFX artist on music promos for Universal Ireland, and GQ. This summer I worked as a documentary film maker for a European cultural exchange trip to Romania.

I also direct and film my own short films, being selected as a finalist in Raindance and JamesonEmpire's film competitions, I have my own camera(dslr), lenses, mic, and shoulder rig for filming.

I'm an easy going, dedicated, and enthusiastic worker, committed to doing what's necessary to get a project completed on time and to a high standard. I work well within a team but am also capable of taking charge or being left to my own devices. I'm always willing to contribute ideas and enjoy working on new projects.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Blitz Games - 2001- Level/environment modeller on a XBOX, PS2, Gamecube project from pre-development through to master. Tasks also extended to level design and character animation

FileNet UK - 2004 - Freelance work producing a corporate demonstration animations.

The Picture Production Company - 2004 - Character animator and modeller for an animated series pitch.

November 2005 - Personal Project - Finalist for the Nokiashorts.com competition.

FileNet - March 2006 - 3D corporate animation work for Internet and PowerPoint presentation

Pipe Dreams 3D - March to July 2006 - Freelance as generalist on approximately 25 Animatics, for various brands.

Trunk Animation - July to September 2006 - Four 50 second adverts for a Toyota Formula1 documentary for Discovery Channel.

Pipe Dreams 3D - September 2006 to May 2010 - Creative Director overseeing creation of all animatics. Later promoted to Head of Studio London. Then moved to setup and run a satellite office in Chicago.

Spider Eye Studios - October 2010 to January 2012 - Character animator on Jungle Junction for Disney Playhouse.

Beakus - On and off October 2012 to February 2013 . XSi Character animator on an animated short film and Maritime Museum project.

MrsGrey / NiceMonster - September to October 2012 - VFX artist, Editor and Motion Graphics Artist.. Working with RedEPIC footage, 3D compositing, Editing and Grading. VFX artist and editor for projects including music promos for Pat Byrne & Jedward, online content for GQ, Mercedes and more.
